Fatma – Rug, wool artisan
Fatma is a talented artisan from a village near Laghouat, Algeria. She specializes in crafting traditional Algerian rugs and creates her own wool, transforming sheep’s fleece into natural thread. Fatma handles the entire process herself, carefully selecting each thread to craft unique patterns that reflect the rich culture and heritage of her region.

Ali – rug craftsmanship
Ali is a passionate artisan and the oldest rug craftsmanship from Oued souf, Algeria, a city famously known as the “City of a Thousand Domes.” He specializes in creating El Oued and Hanbel carpets. Ali has never stopped perpetuating and preserving traditional techniques passed down through generations, as well as the unique motifs of Oued souf, such as the renowned Oued souf Cross, which is now disappearing in Algeria.

Each of Ali’s creations tells a unique and precious story, reflecting ancestral craftsmanship and an exceptional cultural heritage.
